這是寫作業時 Prof. Albert Kong 提到的網站，
其實平常出去觀星時應該也是很有用～
所以紀錄在此，以免忘記！

其實它還有好幾種顯示模式跟另一種輸出格式，在此不多提，
不過它的說明跟提示其實沒很清楚，我試了很多遍才弄對，
送出後，請會得到類似下圖的結果！


下次有機會帶美眉去野外看星星時又有好工具嚕！

I have been waiting its invitation for couple months.
Finally I got it today.

You may not heard about this wonderful software b4.
Let me shortly introduce Skitch here~very very short!
It is a software letting you easily snap, draw and share photos.
But currently you just can get it by other's invitation.
(I got mine because I registered to test it several months ago.)
Please have a look there, you'll find a introducing movie there.

If you still can not find someone to invite you, just try Jing.
I have introduced Jing few days ago.
It's like Skitch, but it is free and will be always free,
you will have to buy Skitch in the future.

Today some software release their updates,
just like the photo above, WoW released its updates again.
By the way, Microsoft Office 2004 released its 11.3.8 update yesterday.
So go to update them now~Ciao!

這一禮拜有兩位好朋友結婚，真好！
他們都邁入了人生的新一章！祝福這兩對新人！

炳良那場我還當了伴郎，那可是我的第一次唷。
而且還跟克萊兒小姐再度相遇，
她是炳良妹，高中時期常常來一中找炳良，
因為我們總是打籃球打很晚，
所以那時候就認識了。
不過高中畢業後就沒機會再遇到過，
一直到炳良結婚這天才又重逢，
人生真是奇妙！

炳良的另一位伴郎是他現在在美國唸書的好朋友。
跟他還有他的女朋友聊天，
讓我又發現，我的英文退步真快，
果然是「學如逆水行舟」呀！

他們的婚禮也是讓我印象深刻的一場，
因為炳良家族的男生女生都頗高，
他自己188，他老爸184，親弟弟192,
堂弟也有180+...
我第一次在台灣參加的婚禮有看到那麼多高人低！
又，我其實沒帶西裝回台灣，
所以我在婚禮上的西裝，
聽說是林爸爸的，結果，居然超級合身低，真神奇！


善榜這場也是十分盛大，他們之前應該很擔心吧～
因為這柯羅沙強颱的影響頗大，
不過婚禮還是順利舉行，真是幸運！
他還幫我們這群陪她度過大一大二的同學、學弟們準備一桌，
在他們播放的影帶中還出現我當年從成功嶺集訓下來時的合照，
呼呼～現在看起來那時候還真是瘦呀～
害我後來都不敢吃太多 XD
他們還有玩小遊戲，阿濬跟阿寬都被點名上台，
我後來也被點名囉，不過還好需要的人滿了，
所以被我逃掉了～嘿嘿～
不過後來發現獎品是彩券？現金獎？
還真是扼腕～＄_＄！


好啦～我知道我穿得很隨便～嗚嗚！吳善榜我錯了～
我太胖了以至於唯一的西裝褲塞不下我～
請見諒！

講了那麼多，又跟標題沒啥關聯囉...金害 =(
呵呵～有啦有啦～只是還沒講到嘛～
就是因為我都沒帶到自己的數位相機，
心愛的DASH的相機功能也只是ok～
所以都沒好照片可以先show給其他人看，
只能等有帶DC的朋友寄過來，
還好炳良跟小批先msn我幾張照片，
就先post在這裡，
有圖有真相！呵呵！

最後再次祝福這兩對新人，早生貴子呀！

Review the SciSoft~~~

"Scisoft7 - An Astronomical Software Collection"

I have introduced it couple months ago,
so why do I want to review it again?

Hum~That I may have to run IRAF is the main reason.
It includes IRAF and other needing packages,
and the installation is quite easy.
So I think it is the best solution~
for students taking "Observational Astronomy."

If you don't know what it is till now,
let me briefly introduce it again~

Scisoft is a project within ESO to provide a collection of astronomical software utilities in a uniform way at all four ESO sites and to make them available to the outside world. The current version, Scisoft 7 (Beta), June 2007, is only available for Fedora Core 6 Linux. The previous version, Scisoft v6.1 September 2006, was for Fedora Core 3, Scisoft v5 was available for RedHat9 and earlier versions are also available for Solaris 8, Linux Redhat 6.2 and HP-UX 11. In addition a version of Scisoft for Mac OSX has been prepared by Nor Pirzkal and Francesco Pierfederici but it is not an ESO product. -- quotes from its website.

[ For Mac OSX Users ]

There are two versions of Scisoft OSX. The first one is for G4 and G5 ppc based Macs. The second one is Intel specific and will work (fast) on any new Mac Book, Mac Book Pro, or Mac Pro. The two versions contain almost the same packages but the Intel one is the one that will continue to be maintained regularly in the future.

After installing, do not forget to modify your enviroments~
please go to /scisoft/(all)/bin and list all setup.* files.
Choose the file which depends on the shell you are using,
and edit your startup files.

For example, if you're using BASH,
edit your '.profile' by adding the line~
" . /scisoft/bin/Setup.bash"!

Magic Number Machine is a great software.

GSL's Note...

GSL - GNU Scientific Library

Actually this note is for myself using,
thus you may not understand what it is.
It's O.K that you just close the window =P

1. Run FinkCommander to install "gsl" package.

2. Write an example.c C file:



3. There are 2 steps:
a) gcc -Wall -I/sw/include -c example.c
b) gcc -L/sw/lib example.o -lgsl -lgslcblas -lm
then we'll get the "a.out" file.

Run the "a.out" and the output will be ~
$> "J0(5) = -1.775967713143383198e-01"
but in GSL's Manual...
it's "J0(5) = -1.775967713143382920e-01".../sigh

By the way, it is very convenient that it has built-in constants~

so we can just include that header file and use these directly!
